Hi Moms! Oct. 2015 visit with DD (6) who has food allergies. I know Disney chefs are fantastic in dealing with allergies, but how does it work at the International Food and Wine festival stations? Really hoping we can enjoy these as well! Thanks!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Michele!

The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is my favorite special event of the year at Epcot! My husband and I have enjoyed it before and this year will our first year navigating the festival with our little Mouseketeer with multiple food allergies. You should navigate the festival stations in the same general way that you will navigate the other carts and quick-service restaurants in the theme parks. Notify the Cast Member who is taking your order of your allergies and they will be able to provide you with the ingredients of all items of the menu. You can also ask to speak with a manager to help you make an informed decision.

With my little guy, I have found it helps quite a bit to bring special snacks and treats with us just in case. Since you will need to speak to the Cast Member taking orders, foods that turn out to not be safe can be quite a disappointment. So I have found that it helps that quite a bit if I bring a special treat with me for those times. Sometimes a safe chocolate bar, cookie or Mickey lollipop can really help.

Be sure to check out the Special Dietary Request page for additional info on accommodating food allergies at Walt Disney World Resort. If your daughter has multiple food allergies, I would suggest contacting the Special Diets team at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com as they can help ensure your daughter has safe and tasty meals during your trip!

Let us know if you have any additional questions as you prepare for your trip! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
