Oh boy, your trip to the Walt Disney World Resort is just around the riverbend and sounds like a blast! I adore Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and a spacious cabin at
Copper Creek Villas and Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge will set the perfect tone for a fall escape together. This fall, EPCOT will be the epicenter for the
Disney100 celebration, so you have much to look forward to! I love thinking through the logistics of a trip and am happy to help you get over to EPCOT for the
EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival from this gorgeous resort on Bay Lake.
The water transportation previously offered directly between Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Disney’s Contemporary Resort has not returned. However, there are several other options for your trip to EPCOT. The most efficient route is to
take a bus from the resort directly to EPCOT. The bus bay is well shaded and protected while you wait.
If you had your heart set on the Disney monorail, you could take the boat (red flag launch) from Disney’s Wilderness Lodge to Magic Kingdom Park. From there, you can walk or take the
Walt Disney World monorail transportation to Disney’s Contemporary Resort, where you’ll continue aboard the monorail to EPCOT.
Both the bus and monorail will bring you to the front entrance of EPCOT, where you can enter through the main gate and head towards World Showcase. If you’d like a different route that allows you to start near this area of the theme park, you can take a bus to Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park. Without entering this park, you may then take the
Disney Skyliner to the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT. This route will certainly take longer than a bus directly to EPCOT but perhaps offers a different vantage point or connects you to a delicious table service breakfast in Disney’s BoardWalk area before heading to the festival.
Finally,
Disney’s Minnie Van Service remains the most efficient and direct way to navigate between different locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. I love this service for personalized care with a Disney Cast Member and a direct route to my destination when I need it most.
