Oct 20, going to see Fantasmic at 7:30. Planning to do dinner after at Sci-Fi at 8:20. Is this ok even though park closes at 8, and I am staying off Disney property or should I try to eat beforehand? What about dinner package? Better option?

Hi, Jessica! Fantasmic and Sci-Fi sound like a fun one-two punch. Good thinkin'.

It looks like Hollywood Studios has evening Extra Magic Hours on Oct. 20. Even if you're staying off property, you should be fine with a dining reservation at the beginning of the extra magic hours. You would, however, find it difficult to take in an attraction after Fantasmic and/or your meal.

I think the dinner package is a good deal if you're on the dining plan. If you're not on the dining plan, I'd recommend eating something quicker to hold you over until dinner so you don't lose any park time prior to Fantasmic.
