oct '12 8 day trip.considering annual pass 4 one adult.if annual pass room discount is available like last year, it seems like it would save us money. Can one person have annual pass everyone else use regular tickets? Can I buy and use pass discount same day

    Hi Erin!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

You can definitely have just one person in the party with an Annual Pass.  That is exactly what happens in my own family and it makes a lot of discounts available.  The only negative is if you are also interested in a Disney Dining Plan.  To be eligible for a Disney Dining Plan, everybody has to be on the same type of ticket (i.e. Annual Pass or Magic Your Way tickets).

With regards to picking up the Annual Pass and using it for a room discount on the same day, the answer is "yes".  Just go ahead and book at the Annual Pass rate and when you get to Walt Disney World, pick up the Annual Pass first and then check-in.  If you can't pick up the Annual Pass ahead of time, I suggest just checking in without it.  Most likely the Cast Member who handles your check-in will let you check-in without it, and will simply ask you to come back later in the day and show an Annual Pass.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
