    Is the Oceaneer club open for kids while at port or do I need to take them with me to all excursions? They are 3, 7, and 9. I'm not sure how comfortable I am leaving them, but excursions for 5 would be pricey!

    Welcome back to the Panel! Let’s continue our conversation about the Oceaneer Club, child care, and some alone time for you and your husband. The Oceaneer Club is open while the ship is docked at port so please feel free to use their services when you leave the ship to explore the ports. My sea pup really is not interested in doing anything outside of the Oceaneer Club. In fact, when we went to pick him up one night, one of the Youth Counselors jokingly told us that our sea pup would sleep there in the Club if we let him! In the Oceaneer Club there is an ever changing schedule of fun things to do, character visits, and dance parties so that your boys probably will not notice you are gone.  They also feed the children lunch and dinner so there is no need to pull them out to feed them. The Youth Counselors are well equipped and trained to care for your tiger cubs while you are in port. In fact, we left both of our children in the Club while we visited St Thomas since they absolutely hate tours and shopping. To me, that is a win-win-situation because on Disney Cruise Line, there is something for everyone.
