Ahoy, Aimee!
Thanks for visiting us again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you're DREAMing of your upcoming Disney Cruise! You'll be stopping at my favorite port of call:
Disney's private island, Castaway Cay! You and your sea guppies are going to have so much fun aboard the Disney Dream. It doesn't get much better than all-you-care-to-enjoy soft serve ice cream and the AquaDuck!
We were just aboard the Disney Dream last week and enjoyed two unbelievable stops at Castaway Cay, as well as a visit to Nassau! You will be excited to know that the
Youth Clubs are open while the ship is docked in Nassau! Looking at my Personal Navigator newsletters, I can share with you that all the morning's activities at either Disney's Oceaneer Club or Disney's Oceaneer Lab were moved to Scuttle's Cove, the Youth Club on Castaway Cay. The other Youth Club for kids 3 - 12 years of age remained open onboard the ship, but with Open House hours only - no scheduled programming. All the scheduled activities for Vibe and Edge took place on Castaway Cay. Please note, schedules and activities differ for every itinerary. Take a look at your Personal Navigator newsletter once onboard or ask the Youth Counselors what the schedule will be while your particular cruise is docked at each port of call.
During the Youth Club Open House hours, it is my understanding that parents do not need to accompany the kids. I think it would be a great idea to sail by the Youth Clubs on embarkation day to speak with a Youth Counselor and ask what the current policy is onboard! This way you and your kiddos will be ready to have a smooth-sailing voyage of fun!
Aimee, I'm wishing you a Disney Cruise filled with adventure! If you have any other questions, please come back and visit us again!
