Is there any way to obtain a runDisney ticket for a sold out race? I haven’t seen any charity organizations as suggested by others. I’m trying to help an athlete with a disability. Thank you!

    Hi Jennifer, welcome to planDisney!

Running through Walt Disney World Resort during a runDisney event is such an amazing experience. I think it is because I know everyone in attendance also loves Walt Disney World just as much as I do, it makes the atmosphere and energy on those early mornings unlike anything else.

I’m not sure which race weekend you are hoping to sign up for, but it is possible that registrations can become available from time to time. This is not guaranteed, and there is no announcement when this happens, so you’ll need to keep an eye on the runDisney website to see if any of the events say they are open.

If you and your friend are open to running in a different race weekend, the Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend registration opens soon on March 21, 2023. The themes for this race weekend were recently announced, and I know I am really excited to see the Encanto theme for the half marathon, and the Figment-themed Two Course Challenge! Registration opens at 10:00 a.m. Eastern time and can move quickly, so I recommend logging on to the runDisney site a few minutes in advance and having the required registration information for you and your friend ready to go. The runDisney Blog recently shared some tips for a successful registration.

I hope this answer gave you a few options to consider, Jennifer.
