Where can I obtain physical maps of the Disneyland Resort?

Hi there, Danielle. Welcome to planDisney! I love this question for so many reasons. Let's jump straight into it.

My son loves maps! He has always loved maps. We visit Disneyland Resort quite often, and this is one thing that he never misses upon entering the park. It's been that way since he was still in a stroller. Picking up a map as you enter the park is one of those sweet little traditions that he has held on to, and I hope he never lets go.

When you enter Disneyland Park, you have to go right or left of the floral Mickey and pass under the “Here You Leave Today” plaque. Just before you do, there is a rack with the day's map, printed in multiple languages. There is also a rack of maps just past the turnstiles when you enter Disney California Adventure, before you head down Buena Vista Street. Grab one of these free maps as you enter the park so you can get around the resort.

The interactive map in the Disneyland Mobile App is really great for looking things up and seeing wait times, height requirements, and the entertainment schedule. It does not, however, have the sense of nostalgia and permanence of the daily paper map. We have a bin of maps that goes back decades, which acts as a reference to magical memories made as a family.

Your trip is perfectly timed to experience two new updates to fan-favorite rides. A new mission for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is scheduled to launch on May 22nd, and will feature Mando and Grogu, as well as some fancy new controls in the ride. Also, Soarin’ Across America is the new version of this beloved attraction in Disney California Adventure. I’m especially excited about the new safety briefing from my favorite Chief Flight Attendant!

Danielle, I hope that your trip is jam-packed with magical memories and that all your planning goes smoothly. Be sure to check out Disney Parks Blogs as you get closer to your arrival, just to be up to date on all the latest news, food offerings, and merch! If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to visit us again at planDisney.

I hope you have a magical day.
