Dear Amy, thanks for swinging by planDisney with your question. I am happy to help you with information about
Disability Access Service (DAS) which is a terrific program designed to help Guests who have difficulty waiting in line for extended periods of time.
Although DAS doesn’t provide immediate access to attractions, you can schedule return times to reduce the amount of time spent waiting in line. I truly love that
Disneyland Resort offers this kind of service to create an inclusive, magical experience for all Guests.
For future reference, through the
DAS Advance feature, you can
request a video chat 2-30 days in advance of your arrival to start the registration process and select two attractions per day of your visit. As you are already within two days of arrival, you can request DAS once you arrive, either at City Hall at Disneyland Park or at the Chamber of Commerce at Disney California Adventure Park.
Once you are registered, I love that you can reserve your DAS return times through the
Disneyland mobile app. This makes it very convenient to manage your day. (Tip – bring a mobile charger with you, as you’ll be using the app quite a bit throughout the day!) You can still request return times in person at Guest Services locations as well.
Another tip from a friend who recently used DAS - you can use
Disney Genie+ paired with DAS, which will increase the number of attractions you can experience in a day. Genie+ gives you the ability to use
Lightning Lanes for major attractions, which are faster queues, reducing your wait times. For example, you could make certain selections through DAS and others through Genie+, which could increase the number of attractions you can experience in your time there.
I am wishing you a magical visit, Amy! See ya real soon,
Kamini
