Hi Maria,

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with another great question! We love having our guests return when they have new questions. Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just around the corner! I'm sure you must be getting excited.

I'm thrilled you're going to try to visit the latest attraction at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. I have good news for you! At this time once you have joined a boarding group for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance you can leave Disney's Hollywood Studios and not lose your boarding group. If you are visiting at an extremely busy time of year it's important to note that being in a boarding group does not guarantee you re-entry into the park. I would also carefully consider how far away you're willing to go. Once your boarding group is called, you will need to make your way to the attraction so you do not miss your window.

If you are planning to leave Disney's Hollywood Studios, I would be sure you have your My Disney Experience app set to send you notifications. I would also check the app frequently to keep an eye on how quickly they move through the boarding groups.
