We want to observe our grandchildren in the parade Monday, March 28, 2016. They are there with their highschool band. Is there anything we need to know because of the large crowds during Easter week. We have reservations at Fort Wilderness

Hi Mary! How exciting that your grandchildren will be performing at Walt Disney World in March. What an incredible memory for them! I am a grandmother, too, and I know how wonderful it is to share amazing moments with your grandkids. It's important for you to know that all of the parades held in the Parks are very popular, and for good reason. They are spectacular! I would suggest you arrive at your chosen viewing spot well before the parade's starting time--depending on which Park, which parade, and what time of year it is (how big the crowds are.) Because it is difficult to predict exactly how early you should find a seat, perhaps you might want to plan dining reservations or some shopping time close to the parade route before it begins so you can watch for when the crowd starts to gather. That can be your clue to head on over to your viewing spot. And don't worry too much--there aren't any bad parade views in any of the Parks! Take a look at The Disney Park's Blog for hints on favorite places to see the parades as well as this great article from my fellow Mom, Lynn.

I sure hope this helps. Please stop back by the Disney Parks Mom's Panel for more ideas and tips as you plan your fun Walt Disney World vacation. And I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you and your grandchildren will have a magical time while you are here. Have a great day!
