Welcome to planDisney Alicia. Thank you for dropping in with your question.
New Year's Eve is a great time when you aren’t visiting one of the
Walt Disney World Theme Parks.
Magic Kingdom Park is historically one of the parks that fills up pretty quickly. Make sure you
make a park reservation ahead of time so you don’t miss out. There are usually special fireworks for NYE as well. There are no special tickets necessary for this night.
EPCOT also usually has a pretty exciting celebration. There are normally parties going on all over World Showcase with DJs spinning into the new year. Right now the park hours show midnight as closing time for
Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom Park, and EPCOT. So it seems you will be able to choose from a couple of parks.
These days are some of the only days where the parks reach capacity. You may want to plan to arrive early and stay late. I always recommend having a nice late dinner after 7 p.m. for those late park nights. Park hopping is also not advised as you may leave one park and arrive at a park that has just reached capacity. And once you leave your morning selection you would not have a spot guaranteed at that park if you returned. Keep an eye on
Disney Parks Blog for any announcements of events to watch out for.
Hopefully, this information helps you ring in the new year in style. If you have any other questions about planning your stay visit

See ya real soon,
