Ahoy, Sara!
Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your question - I'm happy to help!
I'm glad to hear you're planning to use the services of
It's A Small World Nursery on the Disney Dream. You'll be able to enjoy some grownup time while your little cruiser is looked after and loved on by well-trained Disney counselors. My girls have been cruising since nursery age, and we loved knowing that they were well-taken care of while we explored the ship on our own. My kids love the Disney Cruise Line Youth Clubs, and have made many friends and memories through the years!
The Youth Counselors are more than happy to feed your child while in their care. If your little one will be in the nursery during meal time, you'll need to provide snacks and food for him/her. Fruit, cereal or dry snacks are great items to leave with your child, and can be picked up at Cabanas buffet. You can also order something from Room Service (24-hour Room Service is provided in the cost of your cruise). Make sure not to include any nut products, as they are not allowed. As a preschool teacher, I always ask the parents to provide food cut up in the size bites the child is accustomed to eating. This is a good rule of thumb for the onboard nursery as well!
If you'd like to bring pre-packaged foods and snacks for your little one, you're welcome to bring them onboard in your carry-on luggage.
I hope this helps, and I hope you and your little cruiser have a most magical voyage on the gorgeous
Disney Dream! - Diane W.
