I am a nurse and will be travelling to WDW on 1st wk of Sept 2011. I will be accompanying a special needs 8 yr old girl wheelchair bound, g-tube fed, with complex medication condition. Is there any rest area for special needs children in the park?

    Hi Maria!

You have a couple of options.  First Aid (found in each of the parks), or the Baby Care Centers could be helpful for you.  I know that some medical items can be stored for the day at First Aid, and that many people have used their facilities for taking care of special medical needs (if your rest stop requires caring for any type of those needs).  If not, the Baby Care Centers also provide a nice break from the heat, and have a tv and a small waiting area to enjoy while cooling down.

You'll also find many benches and shaded spots throughout the parks that are easily accessible for a quick rest.

    Have a magical vacation!
