What number pack and what size water bottles can you bring on?

    Ahoy there, Alexis!

Welcome aboard planDisney! With just over a month until you set sail, it looks like you’re deep into that packing-list phase, making sure everyone has what they need for adventures at sea and in port. That stage always reminds me of Carl and Russell, double-checking their supplies before lifting off, because once the adventure starts, you want to be ready for anything… especially staying hydrated.

As someone who is pretty picky about my water, I totally understand wanting to make sure you have everything you need while onboard the ship. When it comes to the size of the bottled water and how many you can bring, there really is not a strict limit like you might have seen with the alcohol policy. It really comes down to how much water you want to carry through check-in at the terminal, up the gangway, and then hang onto until your stateroom is ready, which is not generally until around 1:30 PM, though that can vary a bit. You also cannot check bottled water with your luggage. It has to be carried on with you to prevent leaks that could soak your clothes faster than a splash landing on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

I know carrying cases of water, or dragging them around in a carry-on suitcase, is not exactly how most of us picture starting vacation. Most of us would rather be wandering the ship, grabbing lunch, or scoping out the soft-serve machines like Remy scouting the kitchen. With that, I usually recommend bringing refillable water bottles for you and your crew instead. As I mentioned, I am a pretty big water snob, but the quality of the water on all of Disney’s ships is excellent and has great taste. Disney Cruise Line uses a reverse osmosis system, so the water is clean, fresh, and easy to refill all around the ship.

You’ll find several easy places to top off your bottles. The beverage station on the pool deck is usually the main hub, and it’s super convenient when you’re bouncing between activities. You can also grab water at the buffet locations like Cabanas or Marceline Market during breakfast and lunch hours, and there are refill stations in Senses Spa as well. Once you start exploring, it almost feels like unlocking checkpoints with Vanellope at the Sugar Rush Speedway, each refill station ready to keep your crew powered up for the next level of fun.

If your crew really prefers bottled water, another option is to order a case ahead of time through Onboard Gifts so it’s delivered straight to your stateroom. That way, you don’t have to haul it around on embarkation day like you’re moving into Andy’s room with a full box of toys.

I hope this helps you feel ready to finalize your packing plans and stay refreshed from embarkation day to the final wave goodbye. With a refillable bottle in hand and plenty of stations around the ship, you’ll be set to keep the adventure going strong from sunrise to late-night deck parties.

Sea ya real soon as springtime magic carries us from one adventure to the next,
