Hi Victoria! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm excited to hEAR that you and your husband are bringing your little one to Walt Disney World for the first time later this year! There is nothing quite like watching their face light up as they are taking in all the sights and sounds. Even though they will be limited to what they can participate in, there is still plenty of experiences that the entire family will be able to do during your stay.
It sounds like you are planning the perfect Disney day by starting at the Magic Kingdom and finishing it off at EPCOT. The first thing you'll want to decide is if you want to purchase Disney Genie+ for the day. Adding this service will allow you to make Lightning Lane reservations for select attractions throughout the day at both parks. To purchase, you'll need to download the My Disney Experience App to your mobile device and log in to your My Disney Experience account. On the home screen, scroll down to the purple bar that reads "Disney Genie+ Service" and select "Purchase for Today". Follow the prompts to add it on. Make sure to do this before 7 AM, since you can make your first Disney Genie+ selection starting at that time.
Since you are staying at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, you get the perk of entering the Magic Kingdom 30 minutes before the official park opening time. I suggest heading to the bus stop at your resort as early as possible and trying to be one of the first in line. Once there, you'll be allowed into the park onto Main Street, U.S.A. and in the hub area overlooking Cinderella Castle. At the 30-minute mark, I suggest making your way to Fantasyland and hopping on some of the attractions that are available to the entire family. The Magic Kingdom is home to many rides that are friendly for the entire family. You'll be able to fit in many experiences in the morning hours as Guests are still generally arriving at the park throughout the morning. The app will also show you wait times for each attraction, so you can use this to help navigate the parks. I suggest staying for the Festival of Fantasy Parade if it fits into your schedule. It's one of my favorites and your little one will be able to see countless characters go by.
Once you recharge your batteries at your resort, you can hop on the
Disney Skyliner over to EPCOT. You'll enter through the International Gateway directly into the World Showcase. While there are not as many attractions at this park for the entire family, you may want to consider using Rider Switch. This service allows you and your husband to ride an attraction without having to wait in line twice. My wife and I have used this service on almost every trip!
Since the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will still be open during your visit, you should make a list of all the booths you want to try. There are so many options that it can be overwhelming if you did not look the menus up ahead of time. To close out the night, I would try and stay for the nighttime spectacular, Harmonious. It doesn't start until later in the night, so the timing may not work out with your little one.
For dining reservations, Sebastian's Bistro is on property at the resort you are staying in and has some of the most delicious food at Walt Disney World. The pineapple coconut bread pudding for dessert is out of this world! I would also try to snag a breakfast reservation on November 5th at Topolino's Terrace, which is just a short walk or a Disney Skyliner ride from Caribbean Beach Resort. This is a character dining meal and also has some of the most amazing food options!
Victoria, I hope this information helps you plan your perfect Disney day!
Happy planning!
