Hello to you all! In November, my DH and I will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We have made several trips to Disney, but always with our kids. This will our first trip anywhere alone. Can you suggest some things to make the trip more special?

Hello Mindy and congratulations on your silver wedding anniversary!

Since you have been to the Walt Disney World Resort before, you know each trip is special in its own way. But, traveling alone with your spouse is indeed a unique milestone! And, if it was me planning such a milestone, the word I would focus on is romance.  In my opinion, there is nothing more romantic than Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. You may have noticed a wonderful word in the name of that resort: spa! Senses, the "spa" in Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa offers a number of fabulous experiences designed for two. This resort also houses an awarding winning dining venue: Victoria & Albert's. If you want the ultimate in dining experiences, you will want to inquire about the Chef's Table at this extraordinary location.

Another romantic option for you is one of the carriage rides. While carriage rides are offered at both Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground and Port Orleans- Riverside, I recommend you look into the one at Port Orleans.  Your 30 minute ride will take you through the lovely pathways of the resort and along the Sassagoula River. You can make reservations for the carriage ride by calling (407) WDW-PLAY, or (407) 939-7529. I suggest trying to reserve at dusk, as the lighting around the route is lovely.

I hope this help you with your anniversary trip planning. If you have more questions, don’t hesitate to come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, we love to help!

    See ya real soon,
    Anne
