Hey there, Janet!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. 40 MagicBands each sounds like a dream come true to me…I’ve turned into the heart-eyes emoji thinking about all those Walt Disney World Resort visits. Swoon!
But, of course, I can understand wanting to decline
MagicBands when you already have that impressive collection. Now that I have all the complimentary solid colors, I also usually decline for environmental reasons. I actually just deactivated a bunch and took them to the front desk on our list visit, because they’re able to
recycle the bands.
Janet, with the announcement of the
New MagicBand Upgrade Options at Walt Disney World Resort, the MagicBand selection process in
My Disney Experience has been a little overloaded. As part of the new process, the “Decline MagicBands” button seems to have disappeared for many Guests. I’m not sure if this is a glitch or part of the new process, but I have a few suggestions for you. First, check both the My Disney Experience Mobile App and the desktop version. You can usually get to MagicBands through either your Plans or Resort Reservation, or through your Profile. Once on the MagicBand selection screen, look for the Decline button. If you still don’t see it, you can
reach a My Disney Experience Support Cast Member at (407) 939-4357.
You still have a few weeks to go before your vacation, so keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog, as more announcements about the new MagicBand selection process may be shared there. If you get to about three weeks before your visit and you still haven’t had any luck, I would recommend making that phone call to see if a Cast Member can help.
Janet, you've sure picked a fantastic time to visit, and I hope you have an incredible late
summer visit to Walt Disney World Resort! No matter how many times I visit, the fun never gets old, and I hope you have the most magical and memorable time in the place “where dreams come true.”
Have a zip-a-dee-doo-dah day,
Robyn
