Hey there, Laura, and welcome to planDisney!
A midweek holiday can make room for some sticky planning situations at the Walt Disney World Resort. I've been in the parks on Veterans Day before and found it pretty busy. But that certainly doesn't mean you can't have a magical time. It just takes a little pixie dust and some strategizing.
My general rules for possibly busy park days are simple. First, get an early start. I like to rope drop and hit some major attractions before the crowds start rolling in. Next, it may be worth it to purchase
Lightning Lane Multi Pass. With some strategic use, you can really maximize your time by not having to wait in long lines.
Pro-tip: Plan to hit Magic Kingdom on the morning of a
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party date if you can. Crowds tend to be a little lighter there when the party's in the evening. Based on your travel dates, the 9th or the 12th will be your best bets.
Laura, don't let the possibility of crowds take away your magic. Just pack your patience and follow my advice, and you should be just fine. If you have any other questions, please feel free to
come back for another chat! Happy planning!
