Hi Leslie! I grabbed your question as soon as I saw it!
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of my favorite events at the Walt Disney World Resort! The park is open late, the characters are dressed in their Halloween costumes, the special fireworks show is incredible, and Mickey’s Boo-to-You Parade begins with the Headless Horseman making his ride along the parade route! Those are just a few of my favorite parts of this special event at Magic Kingdom Park!
You are correct that the frightfully fun Halloween festivities begin on August 11, 2023! However, it is unlikely that regular park hours on August 10 would be altered significantly. The Holiday Services team will typically decorate Magic Kingdom Park during the overnight hours when the park is closed to Guests. The same is true for when the Halloween decorations come down and the Christmas decorations go up!
I’ve always wanted to be present when the Holiday Services team decorates for the holidays. It would be an impressive operation to see take place! Of course, I’m sure the Seven Dwarfs lend a hand with holiday decorating. They love to whistle while they work!
Leslie, the Walt Disney World Resort posts
park operating hours for all four Disney Parks. You can find those hours on the Walt Disney World Resort website. Operating hours are currently posted through mid-July, so we’re still a few weeks away from hours being posted for August. Keep in mind that operating hours are always subject to change, but the calendar will give you a reliable idea of what to expect for operating hours at the parks!
Happy Planning!
