Greetings Laura! So happy to have you here at the club that's made for you and me...planDisney!
Character dining has consistently been one of our favorite experiences at Walt Disney World, so I can see why you want to get those all lined up for your holiday vacation. Here’s some more excellent news:
Chef Mickey’s will resume character dining on December 16, so you may be able to have breakfast with the Fab 5! Perhaps you have your eye on the new Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends at
Topolino's Terrace-Flavors of the Riviera. Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy are decked out in the most creative, art-inspired outfits themed as a painter, poet, sculptor, and dancer.
Unfortunately, there’s just far too many Guests for Disney to have a notification system for availability of new
dining reservations. So it’s up to you to keep checking on My Disney Experience leading up to your vacation. The last week of the year is often one of the busiest times at Walt Disney World, so I’m not surprised that you are finding booking an
advance dining reservation a bit of a challenge. That said, the good news is that people are changing their plans all the time, so you may luck up and grab a last-minute reservation. It may feel like you are cutting it close, but the day prior is sometimes the best day to grab a reservation since Guests have one day before to cancel without a penalty. Another possibility is to see if there’s any
walk-up availability at select restaurants, which can be checked using the
My Disney Experience mobile app.
Thanks for sending up another great question, Laura. “Now it’s time to say goodbye” but feel free to pop back over to planDisney anytime!
See ya real soon!
Sherry
