Hello, Teresa,
Thank you for sending your question to planDisney. Walt Disney World has so many incredible
dining experiences for guests, and many of them are popular and often
book up quickly. In fact, for my family, Disney dining is an attraction for us each trip.
While there is no notification system for guests when a restaurant has a reservation time open up, you may still be able to secure a spot. First, I'd continue to check the restaurant's availability daily, especially as the dates of your trip grow closer. If you have flexibility with dates and times, too, that will increase the chance of finding an opening. Secondly, I'd also encourage you to speak to a cast member at the check-in podium of the restaurant (preferably earlier in the day) to inquire. We did that on our last trip with
Space 220 Restaurant and were lucky to catch a last-minute cancellation. Some of the restaurants also have open lounge seating (often first-come, first-served), which is a way to experience the theming and flavors of the restaurant. Sending you some virtual pixie dust to help you secure the dining reservations you are hoping to find!
Wishing you a magical trip! Please let us know if we can help with any further questions. -Kara
