I noticed today when I went to make dining reservations that by 7 am PDT most of them were already filled up for the places I really wanted to dine at. What time do dining reservations open for the next day? Is it 12 am or 7 am?

    Hi Adissen! Welcome to planDisney.

I'm delighted to hear you're planning a visit to the Disneyland Resort in just a few months. There is nothing quite as merry and magical as a visit to a Disney Park during the holiday season, and I hope you enjoy so much seasonal fun this coming November!

I'm sorry to hear you experienced challenges making dining reservations for your visit. You're not the only one who has been frustrated with the lack of dining availability, and, as someone who keeps a "must eat Disney" list on her phone, I really understand. While Disneyland Resort's dining reservations do open up 60 days in advance, there is not currently a set time that availability "drops." It appears you've already looked into Madam Leota's crystal ball and know that the most common times are 12:01 a.m. PST and 7:00 a.m. PST.

My advice is to keep checking using the Disneyland app and the Disneyland Dining webpage. As you get closer to your visit date, more Guests will begin to change their plans, and you could get lucky. As a military family, we plan a lot of last-minute Disney trips, and persistence has paid off for us in the past, so channel your inner Princess Tiana and keep your eyes on the prize and keep checking.

You may also ask about walk-up dining availability when you're at the Disneyland Resort. The Mobile Dine Walk-Up Availability feature in the Disneyland app will show real-time availability from inside the parks. You can also ask at the host station when you arrive.

Adissen, a dream is a wish your heart makes, and I'm sending you a great big wish that you find those reservations. As you continue to plan and dream about your visit, please come back and see us here at planDisney if we can help with any further questions. It's also a good idea to read the Disney Parks Blog for the latest health, safety, and operational news, and also fun features to help you plan your visit - including tips on the latest seasonal activities and treats. Have a jolly holiday this November!

    Wishing you much magic,
    Robyn
