I have noticed that it says to allow an 1 1/2 to get to your meal reservations but I was looking at "Our Laughing Place" and it seems if I am traveling from All Star Movies Resort to Disney studios it gives a travel time of 18 minutes. What is mo

    Hi Liza!

First off, I'm glad to see that you scored a dining reservation at one of the restaurants in Disney's Hollywood Studios. Over there, my personal favorite is the Hollywood Brown Derby. Although, a Boston Cream Parfait from The 50's Prime Time Cafe sounds really good right about now!

Good question about the travel times. I'm someone who refuses to rush or run around while I'm on vacation. I do it enough when I'm at home, so I find my vacation time to be more enjoyable when I'm able to take it slow. Therefore, I err on the side of caution when it comes to budgeting my travel times around Walt Disney World.

There are a lot of factors to consider when you are looking to budget your travel time. The 18-minute estimate you saw online might be for the time (under ideal conditions) when the bus pulls away from Disney's All-Star Movies Resort and arrives in the parking lot at Disney's Hollywood Studios. However, here's how I would factor my time:

    1) Time needed to walk from the hotel room to the bus stop.
    2) Time needed to wait for the bus.
    3) Time needed for the bus to stop at other resorts for pickups.
    4) Time needed to arrive at the theme park bus stop.
    5) Time needed to get through the security screening for bags/purses.
    6) Time needed to get through the gates at the theme park.
    7) Time needed to snap a picture with friends and family upon entering the theme park.

(I added that last one for fun, but it's worth budgeting!)

Depending on the time of year, an hour and a half might be a very wise amount of time to budget so you don't get stressed or feel the need to race to the restaurant.

I hope that helps. If you should have any other questions, please feel free to write back and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
