I noticed that many restaurants offer "no sugar added" desserts. Do they use artificial sweeteners instead? I am allergic to artificial sweeteners and I am diabetic, so I need to be very careful about the ingredients.

    Hi Julie,

Whether or not artificial sweeteners are used in a dessert will vary from item to item and by restaurant. The pastry chef or manager at any restaurant will be glad to talk to you about the exact ingredients in any menu item you are interested in. Do tell your server about you allergy to artificial sweeteners. Walt Disney World really does an excellent job of accommodating guests with allergies or on special diets so never hesitate to ask.
