Welcome, Oonagh, to planDisney, where we answer all of your
Disney vacation planning questions!
Currently,
an 18% gratuity is automatically added to the bill for parties of 6 or more dining at most
table-service restaurants at the
Walt Disney World Resort, regardless of the age of the Guests. However, remember that you will be charged a gratuity on the total amount of your bill. So, unless you are ordering something additional specifically for your infant, you will not be charged a gratuity for them, as children under the age of 3 can typically eat off of your plate or eat for free at most
buffet or
family-style restaurants at the resort. Also, note that at this time, certain dining experiences, like
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue and
Cinderella's Royal Table, include gratuity already in your dining cost, so you will not be charged an extra gratuity for those experiences.
One of my bucket list family-style dining restaurants at the resort is
Garden Grill Restaurant in
EPCOT. I've been planning on dining at this restaurant for the last few trips, but I usually prioritize
attractions over
food in the mornings, so I never end up making it there. Well, that's going to change this coming January. My husband and I are taking my brother and dad, and I think they'll really like it. So I'm going to make that reservation and stick to it! And if I don't, I'm pretty sure my husband will remind me that I won't stop talking about this restaurant and we
have to go! I also have to make it to
1900 Park Fare at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. A
delicious buffet in a grand setting with the possibility of seeing Aladdin, Princess Tiana, Mirabel, and Cinderella? Yes, please!
Oonagh, enjoy all of your culinary experiences at the resort. If you have any other questions,
we're here for you!
Anyone can cook, but only the fearless can be great,
Matt
