I moms, I just noticed that I have planned a day at HS during a Star Wars w-e. My boyfriend loves SW, but says he doesn't care if we don't go. Me I don't like crowds. My daughters (4 and 6) know a little bit the universe. Should we go or change our plans?

    Hello Melanie!

How exciting to be visiting Walt Disney World during Star Wars Weekend. It really is an amazing festival, whether you are a Star Wars fan or just a Padawan (newbie) to the whole experience. While Hollywood Studios will be filled with lots of Star Wars excitement that weekend, there are so many other attractions you can enjoy, without worrying about crowds and overwhelmed kiddos.

If your daughters are fans of Disney Junior, be sure to make a reservation at Hollywood and Vine for the Disney Junior Play 'n Dine experience. Starting on January 26th, Doc McStuffins and Sofia the First will be added to the character lis. Your girls will really enjoy meeting with them while they chow down on delicious food.

Star Wars Weekends fans tend to be early risers, since most of the special guest signings are scheduled for morning. If you are not a fan of crowds, I would say to enter the park a little later in the day. Also, if you would like for your girls to get some character autographs, choose wisely. The line for Darth Vader seems to always have a long wait, while a line for Jedi Mickey later in the day isn't as long or crowded. Also, take this time to stop into the more kid-friendly rides and attractions. Star Tours will have a long line most of the weekend, but Muppet*Vision 3D and The Magic of Disney Animation will have shorter queues. Even a trip to a play area like Honey, I Shrunk The Kids Movie Set Adventure will provide lots of fun without the crowds.

Wishing you and your family a truly magical Disney vacation experience. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask us at anytime.

    Have a magical day!
