I noticed that Monday May 7 shifted to Animal Kingdom for Extended Evening Hours. Is this out of the norm or expected to shift back to EPCOT?

Hiya, Michael! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!

Extended Evening Hours is such a great perk for guests staying at Walt Disney World Deluxe Resorts and Deluxe Villas Resorts. When you combine it with the Early Entry perk (available to all guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels), you’re looking at 2.5 hours of extra time in the parks! What a great opportunity to take advantage of the smaller crowds and shorter wait times.

As you’ve likely seen on the Hours and Events Calendar, Extended Evening Hours is only available on select days and in select theme parks. The schedule for these kinds of events is subject to change without notice, so it’s not unheard of for the locations to shift to a different park or hours to change. In my experience, it’s unlikely that Extended Evening Hours for this date would move parks again, but “subject to change without notice” means I’d still keep an eye on the Hours and Events Calendar.

I did a little digging as to what might be happening at EPCOT on May 5, 2025 (I didn’t see Extended Evening Hours for Animal Kingdom on May 7), and it looks like the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival will be in full swing with the Garden Rocks Concert Series. Plan White T’s will be playing at the America Gardens Theatre at 8:00 P.M. on May 5, which might explain why Extended Evening Hours for this date were changed to Animal Kingdom.

Michael, I hope this information helps with your Disney vacation planning. Whether you spend your evening at EPCOT or head over to Animal Kingdom, I’m sure you’re going to have a magical time. If you have any other questions, come right back and ask your pals at planDisney.

    Magical travels!
