I noticed that Magic Kingdom hours were extended to 12:00 am on December 27th through the 30th, 2019. Is this a separate ticketed event in order to stay in the park until midnight or is it for everyone who has a regular admission ticket for those days?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Gail!

I feel like one of Santa’s elves, because I get to get to deliver happy news: Magic Kingdom Park’s current park hours for December 27-30, 2019 are indeed 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m. (midnight). Park hours are always subject to change, and in your case, the change in hours are a happy holiday surprise! I just visited the Walt Disney World Resort over Thanksgiving week, and we also experienced extended hours during our stay (though most of us were too sleepy to hang out all the way until Cinderella o’clock).

If you take a look at the Park Hours, you’ll see the operating times, during which all Guests can enjoy Magic Kingdom Park. You’ll also see Extra Magic Hours noted for each of these days (including a magical double Extra Magic Hours day on December 30, where there’s a morning AND an evening dose of extra magic). Extra Magic Hours are for Guests are Walt Disney World Resort hotels and Guests staying at select Good Neighbor hotels (those hotels are listed on the Extra Magic Hours web page).

I really appreciate that Disney extends the theme park hours during busy times of the year, and I’m so happy that you and your family will be able to have extra together time during your holiday visit! AND I must point out that my very favorite parade – Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade – is scheduled twice on each of your dates. I get all the holiday feelings every time I watch it!

I hope you’re able to soak up all the festive fun that comes with a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth during the holidays, Gail! Be sure to read the Disney Parks Blog as you count down the days; they are sharing so much news lately, and I especially love reading about the holiday treats around the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs. I love adding must-try treats and experiences to my list – it’s getting almost as long as Santa’s – and I know you are going to enjoy every holly jolly minute!

Wishing you a merry and magical vacation,
    Robyn
