I noticed there isn't a special Christmas Show during the week of Thanksgiving. We are going then and thought we would see Christmas stuff then. Is there something else special going on that week? Do they make Thanksgiving Day special at all?

Hi Julie!  Due to the added crowds during the Thanksgiving holiday week they do not offer the special event parties such as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.  Instead they will adjust park hours for the Magic Kingdom and keep it open later for all guests if they see the need.

You will see holiday decorations going up all around you during this time as Disney gets ready for this special time of year.

Starting on November 27 you can make reservations to see the Candlelight Procession in EPCOT.  This is a beautiful story of Christmas done through narration and music.  Isabella Rossellini is scheduled at this time to be the narrator for the first three nights of this event.  There are three shows nightly: 5pm, 6:45pm, and 8:15pm.  I highly recommend this to all families.

Thanksgiving Day is generally just another day in the parks and resorts.  I suggest you make a special dining reservation somewhere to get the traditional meal.  Our favorite has been Artist Point in the Wilderness Lodge. The food is great and the atmosphere of this resort just seemed to fit the meaning of the day.

    Have a magical vacation!
