I noticed that every date I put in to book a campsite is booked. How does one go about booking a campsite. Would really like to go at Christmas.

    Hi Susan!

The Fort Wilderness Resort at Walt Disney World has become one of the hottest reservations to get these days. Over the last few years with the upturn in RVing this resort has seen its busiest times. In fact just last year they took over a cabin loop and turned it into a RV loop instead. They just can't seem to get ahead of the requests.

Unfortunately, the holidays are also the busiest times. Many guests make their reservations a year in advance to guarantee themselves a place. I wish I knew a trick to getting a site but there really isn't any. Keep trying and keep trying different dates. Start back a week or two from when you need the site and see if it will book a long term reservation. Once you get it you can tweak it to your needs. Weekends will always be the hardest to book so maybe just try for five weekdays and then see if you can add the weekends later on.

I hope you will find an opening at some point. The holidays are so much fun in the Fort as so many of the guests will decorate their sites. In the future book way in advance as then you have it and can cancel if you find you won't need it.
