I noticed DW has converted most of their Coin presses to receive credit cards or dollar bills as payment, but there are still a few older coin slot machines where you place the 2 quarters and penny for the penny press. Do you have a map showing locations?

Welcome back to planDisney, Sharon! It is great to hear from you.

There is a handy interactive map that shows you the Coin Press Machines locations found in all four Walt Disney World Theme Parks, Resort Hotels, Disney Springs, and more! However, this map does not indicate which takes the coins and which takes electronic payment or dollar bills. I would arrive prepared for both so if you run into a machine with a design you must have, you are ready! We have purchased uncirculated coins at our local coin shop before our trip, so our treasures sparkle and shine when using the machines that still take your own coin.

My children still have their precious Walt Disney World pressed coins they have collected over the last 12 years. You can purchase fun souvenir books to hold your precious metals at multiple gift shops. We have so many fun memories of hunting out each and every machine on our various visits. I know you will have just as much fun!

Your trip must be coming up soon! I am so excited for you and all the fun you are about to have. Have a magical day!

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
