Hi Wendy!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question about Dining Plans. I'm happy to help!
It sounds like you have plans to book a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation! One of the biggest considerations when planning a Disney trip is deciding where to EAT. There are so many amazing
dining options, from Quick Service and snacks to Table Service and Fine Dining. The
Disney Dining Plan was always something that my family enjoyed, because our meal payments were taken care of before we arrived. The dining plan takes the guesswork out of budgeting for meals, and saves us from having to reach for our wallets every time we enjoy a dining experience.
During Walt Disney World's
phased reopening, there have been several Guest offerings paused until further notice. While some of these offerings have been restored, such as Early Theme Park Entry and the
Park Hopper Option, unfortunately there has yet to be a reinstatement of the Disney Dining Plan. I'm keeping a close eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and Walt Disney World on
Facebook and
Twitter for announcements about any dining plan offerings returning for Guests. Another great source of information is the
Dining: Know Before You Go page on the Walt Disney World Resort website - the most up-to-date information regarding the Disney Dining Plan and other dining enhancements would most certainly appear here as any announcements are made.
My fellow planDisney panelist Jackie has some
great advice and tips regarding how she budgets for her Disney vacation dining in the absence of the Disney Dining Plan. My fingers are crossed that the Disney Dining Plan will return soon! If so, it should be able to be added to your vacation package up to 48 hours before you travel. (That is how it's worked in the past.)
I hope this helps with your planning and preparing for your Disney getaway. Please come back and visit us at planDisney for tips and advice to make the most of your magical vacation.
