Hi, Heather! It's great to see you back here at planDisney!
Disney's Hollywood Studios has certainly been a popular place to be lately! With long-time favorite attractions such as
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, as well as immersive new lands like
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and
Toy Story Land, it's easy to see why this theme park is so popular with Guests. Now with the addition of
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, there is even more fun to be had!
Currently, Guests are required to have both valid
theme park admission and a
Disney Park Pass reservation to enter one of the theme parks. This is the system that Walt Disney World Resort has in place to limit park capacity and help with physical distancing during the
phased reopening process. If you check the
Disney Park Pass reservation availability calendar, you will see that theme park reservations are grouped into three categories- Disney Resort Guests, Annual Passholders, and Theme Park Tickets Guests. While Disney does not disclose how they divide the numbers of park reservations among these three categories, Disney Park Pass availability does change frequently. Therefore, I would advise that you keep checking back to see if your desired date once again becomes available for booking.
Guests change their plans all the time, so it is quite common to see Disney Park Pass availability reopen on certain days as some Guests cancel their previous reservations. I recommend that you check back often and continue to refresh that availability calendar. I recently visited Walt Disney World Resort with some of my fellow planDisney panelists. One member of our party made her Disney Park Pass reservations a bit later than the rest of us. At first, she was shut out of our Disney's Hollywood Studios day, but with a little luck and some persistent refreshing of the availability calendar, she was eventually able to grab a reservation.
I was so glad that our entire group was able to visit Disney's Hollywood Studios together! We traveled to a galaxy far, far away and piloted the
Millennium Falcon. Han Solo once said, "Never tell me the odds," so I won't tell you the odds of snagging a Disney Park Pass reservation for Disney's Hollywood Studios. However, I will wish you good luck, and may the Force be with you!
