I noticed that advance purchase discount tickets are not available on some dates for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween. Is there any difference between the MNSSHP events on nights that the advance purchase discounts are not available?

Not to my knowledge Michael.  I don't know this with any certainty, but I'm guessing that the "premium" nights (those for which advance purchase discounts are not available) are only classified that way because of the dates they fall on.  Florida locals and annual passholders enjoy attending Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party just as much as we tourists do.  Just looking at the calendar gives me the impression that the powers that be at Disney opted to make discounts unavailable on nights during which they expect the heaviest crowds.  You can see that as you get closer and closer to Oct. 31st, the availability of discounts diminishes.

If you will be visiting on of the nights when advance purchase discounts are available, my advice is to make good use of that discount!  My family visits Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party every chance we get and we've never been disappointed.  The parade and fireworks alone make this one event worth attending!  And if you happen to get some one on one time with Mickey while you're there, pass along a "Boo!" for me!
