How much notice do I need to give when needing to change my park reservation date?

Hiya, Tara! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with this great question.

It sounds like you have mastered the art of making those theme park reservations for your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Bravo! As you know, a theme park reservation is required for park entry, so you need a park reservation for each day of your ticket.

Tara, the process is always evolving, but I have some good news about making changes to your park reservations. You can easily do that in the My Disney Experience Mobile App on the day of your reservation. As long as you haven't scanned into the park you originally reserved, you can go into the app and modify or cancel your reservation as late as that very day.

Let's walk you through the process! Open the app on your phone and click the three lines at the bottom right. If the reservation you'd like to change is on a future date, click "Future Plans" and scroll until you see the park and date listed. It will say "Disney Park Pass" with the park you currently have reserved. Click on that and you'll see a screen called "My Disney Park Pass Reservations." Scroll down until you come to the date you'd like to change, and you'll see options to "Modify" or "Cancel" that reservation. Just follow the prompts to choose your new park.

Be advised that switching to a different park is dependent on availability, but if you discover that the park you'd like to switch to isn't available, you can cancel the process and keep your current reservation. You really can't go wrong with any of the four theme parks. I think they're all magical.

The process is the same for a day-of modification, but you would choose "My Disney Genie Day" instead of "Future Plans" in the app. Good luck scheduling your practically perfect park days!

I hope you have a wonderful time on your next visit to the place I call my home away from home. Stop by any time, Tara!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
