Not yet booked, but planning to book Ft. Wilderness cabins in Jan. Our school sells Disney gift cards though a fundraiser program. Can we use these gift cards to pay for the entirety of our vacation--hotel, food, tix? Is a deposit req? Can GC be used?

Wow, Becky! That is so cool that your school has such a useful fundraiser for your convenience! (I have a closet full of wrapping paper and a freezer full of cookie dough!) Disney Gift Cards can be used throughout the Walt Disney World Resort to purchase theme park tickets, stays at Disney resorts, dining and recreation options as well as shopping purchases.  Take a look at the Disney Gift Card site which I linked above to explore your various options.

Most vacation packages or reservations for accommodations require at least a one-night deposit, and you can contact a WDW Travel Planner at 407-WDISNEY to inquire about whether or not they can take the Disney Gift Card as a deposit. Talk about killing two birds with one stone -- what a great way to raise money for your school while paying for your Disney vacation!

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel. Come back if you have more questions! Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
