Hi-ya, Rebecca!
Welcome, Pal, we're happy to hear from a friend like you here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thank you for visiting with your Walt Disney World Resort planning question. I hope you are having a wonderful time planning your next magical vacation.
We visited several years ago with my mother-in-law who could walk okay, but also had trouble with stairs due to a bad hip. On rides such as
Splash Mountain or
Toy Story Mania! we simply spoke to the Cast Member at the entrance and let them know she was unable to do the stairs. In our experience, they allowed her, and one other member of our party, to enter another way. Since there are so few rides with stairs (and I knew we wouldn't get her on Splash Mountain more than once) I didn't feel we needed to request the
Disability Access Service, but you know what would make your situation the most comfortable and could definitely discuss your needs at Guest Relations upon your arrival.
Have an incredible trip with your sister, Rebecca! If you have any other questions or concerns, please come see us again.
Magical Wishes,
Lauren
