Hi Nathan and welcome to planDisney!
One of the best things about living in the Sunshine State is being able to visit Walt Disney World as often as possible and being a family of
Walt Disney World Passholders lets us do just that. We love to visit just for the day, weekend or for longer stays, so having that flexibility with our annual passes lets us enjoy the most magic as possible.
If you have not activated your Walt Disney World annual pass, as in you have not visited any theme parks yet, your pass should not be expiring. When you purchase an annual pass, you have one year to activate it, so the expiration date you're seeing is most likely when your annual pass voucher expires. Once you have visited a theme park for the first time, your expiration date will start over and it will be valid for one year from that date. If you have any questions about your annual pass purchase,
give V.I.Passholder Support a call and a friendly Cast Member can help you out.
Theme Park Reservations are currently still required to visit the parks except for annual passholders who visit a park after 2:00 PM, with the exception of
Magic Kingdom Park on Saturdays and Sundays. If you are planning a visit soon to activate your annual passes, be sure to make your theme park reservations ahead of time if you'll be visiting before the afternoon.
There are so many new and exciting things going on around the "World", including the new
TRON Lightcycle / Run attraction at Magic Kingdom Park or
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at
EPCOT. Check out the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, also at EPCOT, until July 5, 2023, and see some of your favorite
characters as beautiful topiaries or check out some of the delicious foods from around the world at the
Outdoor Kitchens.
Please
stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
