Hello. We did not understand that my husband can preselect two rides per day before we arrive using his dad pass. We would like to do that. Is that still possible? How do we call back to do that?

    Welcome to planDisney, Robin!

Hello, it’s so nice to meet you! I’m Shantel, and I am more than happy to help you both navigate your Disability Access Service (DAS) for your upcoming visit.

As a mom to an adventurous ten-year-old, I’m extremely familiar with using DAS and finding attractions that are suitable for him to enjoy. Although since it is his DAS, he usually runs the show for the family, I just navigate the bookings on my mobile device using the My Disney Experience app. Unfortunately, there is no longer a pre-selection option, but as long as your husband has already registered, he’ll be able to request his first return time after entering the theme park.

The DAS selection button will appear on his My Disney Experience mobile app after entering the parks. Simply open up the app and touch the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner.  There, you will see a bunch of different rectangles labeled differently. Towards the bottom right stack is where you will see the DAS rectangle. Click on that, and the list of DAS eligible attractions will appear so that he can make his first selection. Your husband will continue to do that throughout your day in the parks.

Since you will be using your mobile device throughout the day, I recommend bringing a portable charger or purchasing a swappable charger in the theme parks. I love my charger and truly enjoy the ability to exchange it at any kiosk throughout Walt Disney World Resort. It’s so convenient and helpful when visiting the theme parks. Especially since I am constantly on my phone, taking pictures of my little ones every chance I get.

Robin, I hope this has helped answer your DAS questions. If any other ones come to mind, feel free to ask! If you find that you have questions about DAS while in the parks, head over to a blue umbrella. That’s where the Guest Experience Team can be found, and they are wonderful in answering any questions or walking you through using DAS while in the parks. Hakuna Matata, there’s help and magic everywhere, so that you can return to the fun and have a magical trip.

    Enjoy your visit!

Meet the Panelist: Shantel, Alabama

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
