Hi, I do not understand the pros/cons/advantages/disadvantages or difference in booking a room only versus a package. Why would you not go ahead and book room, tickets and dinning at one time and be done with it.

    Hi Karen!

How exciting that you are planning your first Disney vacation!  I just know you will have a magical time.

I think in most circumstances, booking your vacation as a package is the best choice.  It really makes it easier to book it all together and have it automatically linked to your account.

But, there are instances when that isn't the best option.  A few I can think of is if someone has an Annual Pass to the parks, or bought/received tickets already. (maybe through a work conference, ticket discounter, have old un-expired tickets to use, get them as gifts, etc.)

Additionally, people often opt to not add the dining plan.  For some, they don't want to spend a lot of time eating, or it just may not fit their budget.

I hope this helps with your question.  Packages are wonderful, but there are some times when they don't make sense.  Please let me know if you have any other questions as you plan.
