Hello Sophie!
I personally love
Memory Maker, because it's difficult to get my family of 7 in one shot. Disney PhotoPass Photographers are constantly snapping photos, so I am bound to get some good ones where we all have our eyes open. They always seem to capture candid moments that make me smile as I browse through our photos when we return home from Walt Disney World. I also love the quality, the magic shots, the attraction photos, and the ability to add borders and stickers to our photos all included in one price.
That being said, even at the advance purchase price of $169, it's still an investment. You can get PhotoPass photos taken and the photographers will also take a picture with your mobile device or camera. You can still visit the Disney PhotoPass website and purchase prints, Disney Photo Gifts and other products. I think the questions to ask are how many photo opportunities will you stop for and would you be satisfied with a picture taken on your phone? I'll sometimes sacrifice a nice meal to budget for Memory Maker, because the memories are worth it to me for my whole family. Now if if were just my husband and I, I probably would not purchase Memory Maker for the two of us, because I would spend the money on a
Special Event or Tour.
Good luck with your decision. Although you are a young couple, I would still make an effort to stop by and say hi to Mickey Mouse. Even as an adult I treasure all my pictures with him, because after all, it all started with a mouse.
Have a magical vacation!
