We are not sure exactly what/where we will be each day. That makes dining reservations difficult. How long is the usual wait for sit-down dining at most restaurants for supper. Someone told me reservations are a must or else the wait is very long.

    Hi Teresa!

This is a great question.  It really depends on when you are going.  If you are going during the busiest times of the year or when Disney is offering Free Dining then you definitely need to have a reservation to dine at a Table Service restaurant as many restaurants will even have signs out saying "no walk ups".  However, at other times of the year it is possible to walk up to some, but not all, of the restaurants.  It is definitely much easier to walk up to a restaurant at a resort hotel as opposed to a restaurant in a theme park.

Unfortunately, there is no "usual" time as some restaurants will absolutely not take walk ups, and some are much more busier than others.  My suggestion would be to make some reservations ahead of time, just to have some in your back pocket.  You can always cancel them or modify them just before your trip as your plan solidifies.

I'm sorry I don't have a more straight forward answer for you, but please write back with more questions!
