Not sure if I correctly linked our MB+. On MDE under magic bands, the pics and correct color shows with our name. It says +link and not connected with a square with a slash thought it next to that. Technically challenged, help!

Hey Howdy Hey Jaynee and welcome to planDisney!

When Disney first released MagicBands, this totally changed the theme park experience for the better. Having one convenient place to access your tickets, unlock your resort room and have charging privileges really made the experience more efficient. With MagicBand+, this experience is taken to a whole new level. Being part of the story and interacting with things in the parks is next-level fun! Thank you for stopping by with your question on MagicBand+. With new technology, there do come some extra steps to get things operating correctly. I will do my best to help get you set up for your upcoming trip.

Jaynee, it sounds like you are off to a good start. It sounds like you were able to connect your MagicBand+ to your My Disney Experience account, we just need to pair your MagicBand+ to your account. The next steps are easily carried out through your My Disney Experience app.

Once you open up the app, tap the three horizontal lines on the bottom right of your screen, the hamburger menu. Scroll down until you see "MagicBands & Cards" under "Disney Account". Tap on that menu and you should then be taken to a screen showing your account as well as any that you manage. Tap on your account.

Now that you are under your account, you should see your MagicBand+ and then the "Not Connected" notification. You need to pair your MagicBand+ with your smart device. Under the "Bluetooth" heading, you should see a button to "Pair". After you tap on that one, you will be taken to another screen with instructions on how to do so. After they are paired and connected, you should be all set!

If you are having trouble still, you may need to charge your MagicBand+. Set it up on the charger and let it charge for a bit. Sometimes when the band is on the charger, it gets enough of a charge to operate the Bluetooth and they automatically connect which is what happened with mine.

I hope these steps helped to get your MagicBand+ paired to your account. If you continue to experience issues pairing them, you can give Disney a call and a Cast Member will be happy to help. Please feel free to reach back out if you have any further questions, we are always happy to help!
