if i am not staying at ft wilderness can i rent a golf cart for an hour to tour the campground?

    Carol:

One of my family's favorite past times at the fort is "looping"--renting a gold cart and scouting out the numerous camping loops, especially around the holidays when many folks decorate their sites!

But I have some good news and some bad news about renting the electric golf carts at Fort Wilderness.

The Good News: you don't have to stay at Fort Wilderness to rent one!  The Bad News: they no longer rent the carts by the hour, only by the day.

Keep in mind that guests no longer rent the carts at the Bike Barn, but at the Front Desk of Fort Wilderness. Pick up and drop off is there, too.  That makes it most convenient for someone like yourself who isn't staying on property!  The day charge as of today is $57.51 (that includes tax). I highly recommend calling ahead, though, and making a reservation for your cart, as they do book up: 407-824-2742.

If you're looking to get the most out of your rental, consider staying a little longer: book the Hoop dee Doo Revue dinner show, take in Chip 'n' Dale's campfire sing-a-long or improve your Archery game on Thursday, Friday or Saturday with an 1 1/2-hour lesson for just $25.  (Fellow Moms Panelist Kay had a grand time recently with her grandson on the archery course!)

    Wishing you a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
