We will NOT be staying at a WDW resort. what time can we enter the Magic Kingdom if it is an Extra Magic hours day for resort guests? and the "let the magic begin" does it also happen at 9 am on the Extra Magic Hours days?

Hello Barbara! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

While experiencing the Extra Magic Hours offered to guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel is beneficial, the Let The Magic Begin Welcome Show at Magic Kingdom let's every guest get a magical jump on their Disney Day.

The Let The Magic Begin Welcome Show is presented in front of Cinderella Castle at the end of Main Street, U.S.A.. Since it begins roughly 5 minutes before official theme park opening, Main Street U.S.A. is open to all guests roughly 40 minutes before showtime.  Several shops and Main Street Bakery are open for guests to do a little early shopping and grab that crucial cup of Starbucks coffee that, at least for me, is an essential start to a day at Magic Kingdom.

On days when Magic Kingdom offers Extra Magic Hours for guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, the Let the Magic Begin Welcome Show still begins at official theme park opening time for all guests to enjoy.

I recommend you arrive early on your Magic Kingdom day, to pass through security clearance and the Main Ticket Gates to enjoy all that Main Street, U.S.A. has to offer during this extended time before the park officially opens.

Be sure to book your Fastpass+ Options through your My Disney Experience Account up to 30 days in advance of your planned to visit to bypass the lines at such popular attractions as Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Splash Mountain.

    Have a Magical Morning!
