If you are not staying on property and you are visting a resort that is having evening Extra Magic Hours, how will WDW stop you from riding rides? Do they encourge those not staying on property to leave or can they shop during those times? Thanks!

    Hi Tawn:

Extra Magic Hours (or extended park hours) offers Disney World Resort Guests the ability to enjoy additional time in Disney Theme Parks. Typically, one of the 4 Walt Disney World Theme Parks opens one hour early or remains open up to 3 hours after regular Park closing time. If you are in the Parks during the Extra Magic Hours you have to show your Resort I.D. to get on rides or take part in activities. You generally can walk around the theme parks and shops during evening Extra Magic Hours, but you won't be able to take advantage of the rides or attractions.

    Enjoy your vacation.
