Audrey. Hello and welcome to
planDisney. I always love seeing a fellow North Carolinian stop by to ask a question. Waving hello from this great state!
The holiday decorations are just so incredible at
Walt Disney World. They really do it up right. It's so festive and fun. My family and I vacation there the week of Christmas every year and it really does make it special.
Audrey, I have an idea of how you'll be able to see the different resorts during your trip. Oftentimes during the busier parts of the year, you aren't able to just drive to a resort and park there without a dining reservation. Of course, you can always try and see what they say but I'd hate for you to waste all that time on a chance. You can, however, drive yourself to
Disney Springs and park there for free. Disney Springs has great Christmas decorations to check out and even a Christmas Tree Trail with a scavenger hunt each year. This would be a great place to start your holiday decoration tour. They even have some great appetizer and drinks spots you could grab something at. Then, you can walk to the bus stop area and hop on the bus marked for your first resort hotel destination. I personally love the
monorail loop so I would head to one of those resort hotels first. Then from there, you can take the monorail around to the other ones to look at their holiday decorations. You could also hop on a bus to the BoardWalk area resorts. Several resorts over there are walkable - making it perfect for your holiday decoration tour.
Christmastime is truly my favorite time to visit Walt Disney World and I hope you will enjoy it this year as well. If you have any other questions about this, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Enjoy!
