Hi Mitzi,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I see that you’ll be visiting Walt Disney World in just a few short days – have you broken out your happy dance yet?!
A breakfast at
Chef Mickey’s is such a fun way to kick off a day at Magic Kingdom Park. Watching the monorails zoom into
Disney’s Contemporary Resort while enjoying breakfast foods with Mickey Mouse and his pals is an iconic Disney experience, and one you’ll remember for a long time. Enjoy!
Mitzi, Guests with dining reservations may be able to park at Disney’s Contemporary Resort for up to three hours while they are enjoying their meal, but you are not permitted to leave your vehicle there and head into the theme park. There’s very limited parking at this resort, and it would
not be magical to be towed!
The best plan is to park at the Transportation and Ticket Center (Magic Kingdom Park’s parking lot), and then take the monorail to Chef Mickey’s for your breakfast. The monorail does run early for Guests with early dining reservations. After breakfast, you can either hop back on the monorail to Magic Kingdom Park, or walk over. My family loves the walk, especially after a big breakfast – it’s a short walk, and it’s fun to walk past Space Mountain and under the monorail tracks.
Have so much fun during your visit to Walt Disney World Resort! Be sure to read the
Disney Parks Blog as you count down the days – they share so much great information about the latest experiences, tasty treats, and other magic in the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
