Hi, Susan! A trip to Walt Disney World Resort is always magical, but spending time there with family makes it supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! I have lots of friends that reside in the Orlando area, so I love when they are able to come visit us or even hang out in the theme parks with us while we are in town.
Guests are welcome to have family stop in for a visit during their stay at a Resort hotel.
Parking at the resort is complimentary, usually for up to three hours. You will need to chat with the Cast Members attending the resort's welcome gate upon arrival and provide your family's name to confirm they are current guests. Please note that you may run into an issue where there is no extra parking available at that time. In case you find that you are not able to park at the resort at that time, the gate attendant will direct you to the nearest appropriate parking area.
While visiting your family, you can even experience most of the resort's amenities with them, such as their dining and merchandise locations. There are a couple of resorts that offer "pineapple soft serve" in their
Quick Service dining location. I can tell you this hidden gem is the real Dole Whip deal! So feel free to check out the resort and you may even find yourself booking your own stay soon. One thing to note is that most of the Resort feature pools do require a stay there to dive in, confirmed by a quick scan of the MagicBands at the pool's entrance.
I hope this information helps you plan a practically perfect day with your family! Thanks so much for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions.
